There are few things I love more than finding a patch of grass, laying out a blanket, stretching out and digging in to some good, no-muss food. I'm always down for a spontaneous meal outside (I keep a picnic blanket in the trunk of my car, if ever the need should arise)...

For Rent!

In just about one week I will be leaving this little place I've called home for the past couple years and will be getting on in a bigger place up around the corner. Although I've outgrown this place for sure, I'm feeling quite sentimental these last few days.

Spring Thing: Window Boxes

Do you have any success with window boxes? I've tried both flowers and herbs in boxes on sills the past two summers - everything in them always ends up drying up and shriveling away. I never could tell if it was the result of too much or too little sun, over or under watering. I love the idea of having a tiny garden blooming within arm's reach right outside a window, but I just can't seem to make it work.

On the Hunt

The mad search for a new apartment has officially begun! I was feeling stressed about it all right before my week-long jaunt in Florida, but now that I'm back I'm feeling ready to take it all on. I'm having mixed feelings about leaving the place I've called home for the past two years, but there's no denying that I've just plain outgrown this tiny space. My search so far has turned up: beautiful apartments in my neighborhood, way out of my price range, and beautiful apartments within my price range, but out of my neighborhood. I will not be deterred!

To keep me motivated, I've pulled some apartment-themed inspiration photos.

And oh! how I've waited to have my very own bedroom!

Spring Break!

Hello from Florida!

I'm here trying to soak up the last bit of sunshine and salty sea air before heading back to the regular everyday...it's amazing what a little sand between your toes can do to give you a bit of a recharge. From the sounds of it, the weather is every bit as beautiful back home!

I hope you're able to enjoy the sunshine and get some R&R wherever you are.
