Horror Movie Love

You may or may not know that I....love horror films. I love them all the time, but there is a special place in my heart for scary movies watched during the cooler, darker, autumn months. I usually go on a major slasher binge during the weeks leading up to Halloween, but for some reason I've felt the urge earlier this year, and my own personal film fest has been well underway since early August. (Have I suffered a few sleepless nights lately? Maybe). Over the next month or two I thought it'd be fun to feature a few of my favorites - as a little ongoing theme of sorts.

I guess I'll start by getting the most obvious one out of the way...

Halloween
As classic as they come. John Carpenter's Halloween (1978) is credited with taking the slasher genre in a whole new direction, although many elements seen in the movie can also be found in earlier films. I guess this one just has it all.

This was my Halloween costume a couple years ago. Creepy, I know. I learned the hard way that scaring trick-or-treaters causes them to simply run past your house, not stopping for candy or anything else. Wussies.

I'd love to hear some of your favorites -- suggest away!

Love horror movies!!! Especially the ones I grew up on, meaning cheesy 80s slasher flicks. There are a bunch streaming on Netflix. For really scary, the Exorcist is one of my all time faves. I love the orig Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Poltergeist. For lesser known or not mainstream: Isolation (Irish film - the description sounds strange but it was really good), Sauna (Finnish & sub-titles), Let the Right One In (Swedish). What about the Orphanage & the Others?

I am scared of EVERYTHING. Can't watch anything.

I don't upload any of my pictures to blogspot. I just take them from my flickr (I think I usually use the medium option) instead, or wherever I'm hosting them. That way they are bigger :D

Idk if that helps though.

ALSO I know school is starting/has started for you soon but, maybe a date next week? Derp!

I'm a fan of the classics too, but ever since watching House of 1,000 Corpses, I can't help but admit that it may, in fact, be my favorite horror flick of all time.
