In Print

For the past week or so I've been spending a lot of time preparing for my upcoming photo display at Kate's beautiful shop for one of the area's monthly art shows. I'm super excited and just a touch nervous - nothing a glass or two of wine beforehand won't cure.

Getting ready for this show has really been a process. I found it somewhat difficult to select a small number of images to include since I had over a thousand photos to go through - all of which I felt some attachment to. I can remember the circumstances surrounding each one - where I was, who I was with, how I was feeling - all of which are conveyed and come back to me in some way through the photograph, therefore making each one special. For me, photography is quite personal and carries a certain kind of intimacy, but I guess that's true of all art.

If you're going to be in the Albany/Troy area the Friday after Thanksgiving, swing by between 5 and 9pm and say hello! I'd love to see you there. The show will be up through the end of January (hooray!). I hope you can all come!

Oh! And the little book of my photos is now complete & ready to order - it features many images that are included in the show, and some that aren't.

Book looks pretty good. You don't have print yet? I didn't see it last week at your place.

I'm in love with your blog. It's a new little discovery. A happy accident, you might say. Thank you for sharing such awesome visions, inspirations and sentiments with people. You've got great taste. I found your blog by randomly searching for Michelle Williams, whose hair I'm currently coveting.
