In Search of: Color
Out and about in my neighborhood this weekend.
******
Today is rather dreary, but yesterday was beautiful and it felt so good to be out in the warm sunshine. It feels like Spring is really trying...

5 Things, Spring Edition
Although the calendar says it's officially Spring, we here in Upstate NY usually have to wait a little bit longer to start feeling the effects. Here's a list of a few things I'm looking forward to once the season actually kicks in:
1. Albany's tulips
2. The first bits of green (and something besides root vegetables) at the farmer's market
3. Leaving the house without a coat
4. Driving with the windows down
5. Bike rides

It's Here
Happy Friday.
Happy first day of Spring.
I have a sudden urge to watch this.
Have you seen the lovely Mrs. French's new shop?
I'm writing this at 3am. I've had a lot of trouble sleeping lately.
Yesterday I delved into my musical past & I'm loving loving these guys again. Listening to music from another time in your life can have such a funny, beautiful effect. It's like catching a glimpse of a version of yourself you'd forgotten you once were. And looking back from the place you're in now, it's funny when you can identify certain people, places, songs, images, experiences, etc., that somehow shaped and impacted the person you've become.

Singing In the Rain
Somehow a bright red umbrella makes rainy days much easier to handle. I actually don't mind going out into the gray and gloom when I have my streak of crimson in tow.

Spartan
Oh, I wish everything in my house could look so lovely. The Spartan online shop has some really gorgeous items for the home, not to mention the beautiful styling and photography of the products.
Seen on Design*Sponge.

Have a Lucky Day!
A Taste For Life
It's no secret that I sincerely adore Julia Child. Apartment Therapy has put together a list of tips on how to incorporate some of the features of Julia's famous kitchen into your own home here and here.
P.S.
If you haven't read Julia's memoir, I highly recommend. Her outlook on life was truly inspiring and I wish I could emulate it a bit more myself.

Here Comes the Sun
The sun is shining and it's going to be 50 degrees today - I'll be wearing the blue dress up above.
Here's a short interview with Nichole from littlebrownpen where she gives her suggestions for taking great photos.
Hope you're all having a fun weekend!

Happy Friday!
Remember these amazing engagement photos? The very talented photographer, Max Wanger, has a new blog.
***********************************************************
Indeed, it is an especially happy Friday because it's the last official weekend of winter - only one more week until the first day of spring! Wahoo!
Seeing how I was woken up by my doorbell at 3am this morning and couldn't fall back asleep, I think it's a perfect day to give myself a break and wear these to work.
Also, I really, really want this print.
Happy weekend, everyone! Any interesting plans?
