I keep coming back to this image and wracking my brain for ways I can duplicate it with whatever pieces are in my closet. I know it's the shoes that make this outfit so special for me, and I'm strongly considering spending way too much money on a pair I found online. Oh, fall clothes, I have no power to resist you!

oh how i want these most beautiful vintage derbies from star willow studio. sadly, they are not my size. if you wear a size 9, though, you should buy them and love them. i think they are absolutely perfect for fall.

i am just so giddy this morning because my favorite time of year has come back around again. i can hardly wait to throw on a sweater and head out into the crip air on bright sunny days to go apple picking, take walks with my camera, wander among fat orange pumpkins, watch scary movies, stuff myself with cider donuts! happy first day of fall, everyone. i know i've been away for a while, work has been taking all of my time. i will be back soon, i promise.
